I have really fallen for this band. Alastor have a cavernous cathedral of sound, reverberating vocals and guitars with trance inducing drum rhythms offered as feedback-drenched hymns to our Angel of Light, Lucifer. What I love is that Alastor write actual songs with melodies, accompanied by dark poetic lyrical spells - memorable ear-worms which one hums and sings long after the music has stopped playing. Enchanting and seductive. Black Magic indeed.
